Spa Park | Southwark

Spa Gardens is a key public space in Bermondsey, South London. The brief from the London Borough of Southwark called for the rejuvenation of this neglected space to create an amenity appropriate to the needs of the local community. The redevelopment includes new paths, plants, lighting, bins, benches, play equipment and signage – and a new Sure Start building. The Sure Start building provides a community leisure centre with separate facilities for under 5’s and 5-15 year olds.

Elementa provided engineering design of all building services including DiaLux modelling of the park and buildings lighting, small power and data distribution.

We designed the park lighting to be energy efficient and suitably robust for regenerating this neglected site. Elementa developed the scheme from RIBA stage A to L including obtaining all approvals with the local authorities etc.
