The Blairs

The Blairs is a residential complex built in the 1950s and 1960s, located in downtown Silver Spring Maryland. The Blairs is currently in design and development for one of the largest-ever LEED renovations of an existing property in the U.S. The 27-acre mixed use community will be transformed into a vibrant, mixed-use community featuring new construction totaling 3,500,000 square foot with a maximum of 2,800 units and 450,000 square foot of commercial and office space. The existing surface parking lots will be renovated to feature residence, townhouses and apartment towers. Approximately 4.11 acres of open urban parks, new restaurants, retails shops, grocery store, a hotel, office building, and numerous other amenities.

Integral Group was selected as the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing engineer for the Master plan development to work alongside architect Bing Tom from Vancouver. Integral’s experience with high density, sustainable, mixed use projects in Seattle, Vancouver and Toronto was an important factor in being selected for the project. The Blairs will offer a sustainable lifestyle for Montgomery County’s growing population.
