Our low-exergy district energy system designs use heat pumps as primary energy conversion technologies in centralized or distributed configurations complemented with any combination of onsite low-carbon and low-exergy thermal sources, sinks, and storage. Elementa Consulting has developed the first ambient temperature loop design, a versatile backbone for a multitude of distributed low-exergy thermal sources or sinks that can also be complemented with onsite renewable electricity generation and storage and microgrid systems.
