Viva Bus Operations, Maintenance & Storage Facility

Introba (formerly Integral Group) is providing LEED fundamental and enhanced commissioning services for the Viva Bus operations, maintenance, and storage facility in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Comprising 49,050 m², the facility will accommodate 250 articulated buses and 430 employee and visitor parking spaces. The project is being delivered through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) for the Region of York and is pursuing LEED Silver certification. 

As part of our services, we are completing the review of the owner’s project requests, design documents at milestone stages, preparing and carrying out pre-functional and functional performance tests, and validating all related matters post-occupancy. Systems to be commissioned include high-efficiency air handling units with heat recovery systems, gas detection systems, boilers, pumps, fans, compressed air systems, and rainwater harvesting systems. 

The building management system (BMS) will monitor and optimize controls throughout the building and be connected to the York Region Wide Area Network (WAN). The graphic provided on the BMS will be checked for accuracy and functionality to ensure the system provides the necessary feedback information to operate this facility.
