The Village at False Creek

Vancouver Olympic Village

The Village at False Creek, the home of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, is part of a larger overall development program initiated by the City of Vancouver to revitalize the historic industrial lands at Southeast False Creek. The Village at False Creek will predominantly function as an integrated village community within easy access to the commercial core of the City. The project has been developed to incorporate numerous innovations in planning, design and community building and makes use of passive design as a key component of the reduction in energy and resource use.

The neighborhood is comprised of 1,100 units of residential accommodation including 252 units of affordable housing, 110 units of rental housing and 60,000 sq. ft. of retail space at the heart of the development. Community amenities include a community centre with gymnasium, meeting rooms and exercise facilities and a daycare centre. Integral Group provided numerous services for the project including mechanical, sustainable master planning, building energy modeling and façade design for all of the buildings. Integral also provided LEED project management services for related mechanical credits.
