Introba provided mechanical engineering and sustainability consulting services for Vancouver House in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Introba (formerly Integral Group) provided mechanical design and sustainability services to this dramatic urban village mixed-use development. The development will consist of three podiums and a 500-foot-tall tower. The tower will be 450,000 ft² of residential on a podium of 1,303,650 ft² with housing, daycare, retail, a gym, and a pool. Podiums 2 and 3 will be 71,000 ft² and 81,000 ft² with office and retail space. The whole project is targeting LEED-ND Platinum, and the main tower is also separately targeting LEED Platinum certification.

Introba has provided comprehensive strategic advice for sustainability outcomes, including a campus energy strategy that lowers overall energy demand and optimizes waste heat on-site. A water reuse strategy will integrate rainwater and greywater in irrigation and non-potable applications. An urban agriculture plan incorporates walls and rooftops to grow food for residents and urban wildlife.   Finally, the transportation strategy favors walking, offers both car and bike sharing programs, and public and private electric vehicle charging stations.
