McMaster Innovation Park Life Sciences Research Facility

Introba is providing mechanical, electrical, design analytics, and energy modeling services for McMaster Innovation Park’s Life Sciences Research Facility in Hamilton, ON, Canada.

McMaster Innovation Park (MIP) is a research campus providing collaborative spaces for entrepreneurs, start-ups, and researchers, to help them connect and bring ideas to life. MIP assists businesses in growing by finding the customers, resources, and finances they require to scale up.

The MIP expansion is an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) project with joint-venture Chandos, Bird Construction, and HDR (CBH+) that will include repurposing the former Hamilton Spectator building at 44 Frid Street. It will be converted into a life science hub featuring administrative spaces, a data center, and lab spaces.

Introba (formerly Integral Group) is providing MEP design and energy modeling consulting on the project pursuing net-zero carbon. Once the expansion is complete, the entire MIP campus will total 2.5 million ft² of facilities that will continue to support entrepreneurship and business growth.
