Equal Employment Opportunity Commission

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is located in the NoMa (North of Massachusetts Avenue) submarket, an emerging neighborhood, adjacent to the U.S. Capitol. Occupying the top two and a half floors, the historic building was originally built as a warehouse facility with floor plates of 50,000 SF with two elevator lobbies.

In support of the goal for a collaborative and light filled environment, the design team utilized the existing 50,000 SF floor plates and placed the conference spaces and social centers at the center of the floor plate. The work spaces were organized by clear paths of travel to workstations, collaborative spaces and natural lighting. Integral Group provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems design services extending the base building MEP systems to accommodate the needs of the EEOC.
