Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s (CHOA) Brookhaven Support Buildings utilizes varying levels of combined MEP infrastructure in the built-to-suit, single-tenant design.

The HVAC system is served by a water-cooled, magnetic-bearing chilled water plant that supplies chilled water variable-air-volume (VAV) air handling units located on each floor. Dedicated outdoor air systems with energy recovery supply tempered, dehumidified air to each floor, enabling building pressurization control and enhanced operational efficiency of the VAV systems. HVAC condensate harvesting and a resilient electrical and adaptive lighting design provide high-performance levels for the facility.

The Support Buildings encompass two eight-story towers totaling 600,000 ft² on the 45-acre healthcare campus in Atlanta, Georgia. The buildings serve as CHOA’s Administrative hub and include two cafeterias, a fitness center, conferencing space, and a multi-level, above-grade parking deck.
