Cherry Gardens SEN School

Cherry Gardens SEN School is a new build, two form, entry school. This site makes use of existing school grounds to combine this with a single form entry primary school. Elementa undertook the feasibility study for the development of the school and took into account the complexities of the multiple entry points and the need to provide a secure drop off and pick up point, whilst maintaining the open feel of the site.

The school made use of shared resource space where possible to ensure that the maximum use of space whilst not compromising either schools requirements. The concept design took into account the increased services needs for the building, inclusive of pool requirements, specialist lighting features/controls and ventilation strategy’s. The requirements of BB102 were fully integrated into the design to ensure that the pupils experience was at the for front of the project.
