Cheltenham General Hospital LINAC & Oncology Centre


This project involved the extension of Cheltenham General Hospital to provide a 2 storey facility linking into the existing LINAC and oncology centre. The new facilities include 2 additional LINAC bunkers, waiting, entrance, reception and workshop areas, 3 additional Endoscopy treatment rooms, waiting, recovery and support facilities.

The refurbishment of existing areas to convert them to a chemo therapy infusion suite. Elementa provided designs for the Varian Machine cooling interface and coordinated the below slab ducts for audio, cctv, lighting, air conditioning routes, etc.

We undertook associated works for the specialist electronic beam safety door to stop machine if broken and allow air movement via the “maze” entrance Elementa provided a full range of mechanical and electrical services for the project including a range of low energy strategies to ensure compliance  with NHS carbon guidelines.
