Room2 Southampton

Coined the world’s first ‘hometel’, room2 Southampton looks to combine the home comforts of your very own apartment with the amenities and services of a normal functioning hotel.

With 71 studio rooms, the new apart-hotel has a strong focus on design, comfort and value, aiming to meet the needs of the modern traveller. Introba (formerly Elementa Consulting) worked with the client, Lamington Group to deliver the technology forward, energy efficient building, putting an importance on maximising what the new hotel will offer to benefit both the client and future guests. Click here to find out more about Introba’s involvement in room2.

Robert Godwin, founder of room2 and Managing Director of property business Lamington Group, comments, “We’re really excited to bring Southampton what we feel is the first truly stylish hotel space, taking the best of the emerging design hotel sector and designing a memorable guest experience tailored to both long and short stays. We see a big need for high quality accommodation in the city, and we aim to deliver it”.

The new hometel follows a slight nautical theme, reflecting Southampton’s history as one of the country’s major ports. Each room offers a mezzanine top deck and interior features which look to compliment those of a traditional cruise liner. Overall a flexible, spacious, yet homely design has been followed, creating an ambience suitable to work, meet and relax.
