Spring @ 8th | NCR Global Headquarters Wins IBCON Most Intelligent Building Award

The Digie Award winners were announced at the Realcomm | IBcon 2018 conference on June 6, 2018 at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. For the past 20 years, these awards have recognized those companies, real estate projects, technologies and people that have gone above and beyond to positively impact our industry using technology, automation and innovation.

Integral Group is proud to announce that the Spring @8th | NCR Global Headquarters project won the Digie Award for Most Intelligent Building in the Corporate Headquarters category.  This project was presented at IBcon 2018 as a Case Study in the Project Showcase as a “State of the Art Workplace.”

Integral Group worked with Cousins Properties to deliver a world-class Global Headquarters for NCR in midtown Atlanta.  The new building includes office and lab space for development with Class A amenities including a 30,000 SF fitness & locker room and a 30,000 SF roof garden.

Project goals include a 60% reduction in base building potable water demand through the harvesting, treatment and reuse of contaminated groundwater, rainwater and mechanical equipment condensate. Groundwater will be harvested treated and reused (~7,200 gallons/day; 7 days/week). Other project goals are a 25% energy and energy cost reduction (vs. ASHRAE 90.1-2007) and an Energy Use Index (EUI) target of 45 kBtu/sf/yr. Targeted EUI represents a 50% reduction relative to similar buildings in the Commercial Building Energy Consumption Survey (national database used by EnergyStar).

In addition to its water and energy efficiency goals, Spring @ 8th incorporates a Distributed Antenna System and redundant fiber feeds to facilitate WiFi and cellular connectivity throughout the building. The targeted network speed is 1Gb/sec from multiple providers.
