Associate Sean Casey joins Integral Light Studio

Integral Group is pleased announce that Sean Casey has joined Integral Light Studio in the Vancouver office.

Sean returns to Integral Group as an associate after concluding his Master of Fine Arts at Parsons School of Design, with a specialization in Lighting and Day Lighting Design. With eleven months of international design experience, Sean worked closely with world-class architects Gehry Partners, SHoP, Diller, Scofidio + Renfro and Adjaye Associates. He performed lighting design on high-profile projects including Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles, United States Embassy, Bangkok, United States Consulate, Milan, and Winter Park Library.

During his education, Sean collaborated both with fellow graduate students and distinguished designers. Sean says of his time in New York, “The past three years have entirely changed my approach to projects. My time at Parsons has allowed me to develop strategies to manage competitive schedules and quick-moving environments. That experience allows me to better adjust to changes during project conception – which are very common – and better execute the client’s vision.”

Sean’s return continues the expansion of Integral Group Light Studio, a fully-integrated architectural lighting and daylighting design service offering. Comprised of an international team of experienced designers, Light Studio works hand-in-hand with in-house MEP services to craft seamless designs in a wide range of architectural and urban spaces. “Integral Group’s strength comes from its integrated design process. To be able to walk over to the engineer you’re working with and talk about a project instead of emailing back and forth is a huge advantage. It’s the future of design,” Sean elaborated.

Integral Group continues to expand its full suite of services worldwide. As an essential facet of the Integral Group integrated design process, Light Studio supports and enhances the firm’s offering in mechanical, electrical and plumbing design, energy modeling, sustainability consulting, fire protection, and technology and integration consulting.
