Future Leading London Workplace, 150 Holborn Receives Planning Permission

Elementa are pleased to announce that 150 Holborn, a new 185,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme located in the London Borough of Camden, has received planning permission and includes Elementa as part of the design team.

Sat adjacent to Chancery Lane tube station and next door to the grade two listed Victorian gothic Prudential building, the new office block will incorporate ground floor retail and remaining office space spanning over the nine-storey HQ. The development will feature an open roof terrace to offer an outside space for staff to relax with panoramic views over the City.

Elementa are delivering full MEP, Architectural Lighting Design and Fire Engineering on the project while working alongside architects, Perkins + Will and cost consultants, Currie & Brown. Once complete, the building will bring together a number of Dar Group brands under the same roof. Completion planned for 2021, the new Dar Group London headquarters will house an estimated 1,100 staff members.

Andrew Loudon, UK managing director for Dar Group, said: “Our new HQ in Holborn is a demonstration of commitment to the UK by Dar. We are delighted to be developing our premises in this dynamic, exciting and developing area of London.

“We view London and the UK as a key area of our business in supporting our global clients and are actively pursuing a number of opportunities to further grow our business.

“In addition to growing our business in the UK, we will be focusing on creating local employment opportunities and engaging with the local community to encourage awareness of design and engineering through educational collaboration.”
