Half Moon Bay Library Wins AIA/ALA Library Building Award

Congratulations to Noll & Tam Architects for winning the two recent awards from the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

The Half Moon Bay Library has been awarded a 2019 AIA/ALA Library Building Award, the only award that recognizes entire library structures and all aspects of their design, for excellence in architectural design from the AIA in partnership with the American Library Association (ALA).

The library, which was designed to operate at Zero Net Energy, was also recognized with a Special Commendation for Sustainable Community Infrastructure in the 2019 AIASF Design Awards. This award program honors projects located throughout the San Francisco Bay Area in architecture and interior design. Our residential project the Amador Apartments, designed in partnership with jones | haydu, was also recognized at this event with a Merit Award in Architecture.

The Half Moon Bay Library was also recently acknowledged at the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Northern California Chapter’s 15th Annual Honor Awards.

Integral Group is proud to have projects recognized with an AIA/ALA Library Building Award two years in a row: Austin Central Library received this award in 2018. In partnership with Lake | Flato and Shelpley Bulfinch, Integral Group provided photovoltaic design services for the library’s 180 KW PV array.
