This project converted the 1908 Tyne Tees Steam Ship Company headquarters into 42 eclectically-styled bedrooms & luxury suites with HdV’s unique bathroom ensuites. The hotel includes bistro, bar, private dining rooms and meeting rooms, wine cellar with Laroche tasting table and an outdoor area for alfresco dining with a bothy lodge. Our work on this project included: provision of all mechanical and electrical services, energy saving strategies considered (including solar panel hot water generation, rainwater harvesting system and grey water recycling.) Specialist services included IT services for high-speed interactive digital satellite TV, high quality music systems and internet. Elementa worked very closely with the client and the design team in order to realise the brand vision. |
