The East Oxford Health Centre houses two GP practices and accommodates, among other elements, the PCT’s dental services, podiatry unit, physiotherapy unit, dietetics service, community phlebotomy service, the child protection service, midwifery services and the Oxford out of hours service (OxEMS).
Elementa’s work included the provision of all mechanical and electrical services. We worked very closely with the PCT, architects, design team and all stakeholders in order to produce a scheme which minimised environmental impact and facilitated a low energy efficient building. The building was thermally modelled to ensure natural ventilation would be adequate to keep the internal conditions within NHS guidelines whilst maximising natural daylighting. |
