This project involves the design and construction of a new 6th form and enterprise centre in the grounds of the existing school. The Sixth Form Centre will accommodate 250 new post 16 places. The greater, two storey section of the building will provide accommodation for the sixth form, whilst the single storey section at the Northern end will form an Enterprise Centre. Elementa are providing mechanical, electrical, energy and public health engineering services for the project. In terms of sustainability, the aim for this project is to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating. In order to achieve this Elementa have undertaken BREEAM workshops and an assessment as well as produced energy option appraisals and dynamic thermal modelling to inform design decisions. |
