HORNSEY SCHOOL FOR GIRLS

Client: LB Haringey
Architect: ECD Architects
Contractor: Apollo
Project Size: £4 million
Completion: August 2004
Location: Hornsey

This project, at an Inner London Girls Secondary School, involved the development of a new Learning Resource Centre (LRC) and administration facility, together with a new suite dedicated to students over 16. It also entailed the refurbishment of Craft Design Technology (CDT) facility and a Behavioural, Emotional and Social Development (BESD) unit.
Elementa provided mechanical, electrical, energy and public health engineering services for the project.  When implemented these services contributed to the delivery of very energy efficient school facilities that were rated as Very Good within the BREEAM for Schools methodology. through the production of energy option appraisals and dynamic thermal modelling to reliably inform design decisions.
