Reconstruction of new primary school set within a conservation area in the green belt, situated on a south-facing slope with dramatic views over north London. The school is planned to child scale and organised in two wings that allow for large or small and intimate groups, responding to National Curriculum needs. Natural lighting and ventilation is provided in all principal spaces, with the benefit of creating ideal classroom environments as well as low maintenance and running costs. Elementa provided all mechanical, electrical and sustainability services for this project which incorporated underfloor heating, natural ventilation and took advantage of natural lighting through full height sliding doors. |
