Nick Burree MEng Hons
Currently I am involved with a number of projects in the retail, hotels & leisure and
commercial sectors. I enjoy the variation of work and experience that this provides including
the opportunities for improving my general knowledge and problem solving.
As my technical experience improves, I am becoming more involved with the client facing
role in the job, attending meetings and being the main contact for technical information on
projects.
My day to day work includes design and sizing of HVAC systems, producing drawings in
readiness for tender and producing detailed designs for the main M&E Contractor. In addition
I reply to any requests for information/queries from clients and suppliers/problem solving/
controlling documents for the projects/release |

| and filing of information along with attending design team and site meetings. One of most challenging stages of the project isn’t HVAC design, it’s the practical installation and working of the design in coordination with the other services, planning limitations and sometimes the changing brief from the client.
While one of the most rewarding aspects of the job is knowing your design, knowing the background knowledge to the systems and designing practical solutions collaboratively with the client and design team involved in the project. Elementa gives me the opportunity to be challenged which is one of the most enjoyable aspects of my role. I am challenged and consequently learning. |
